Fashion Scout Ones To Watch Edition 02 brings eight emerging designers to London Fashion Week

Fashion Scout continued its 20th anniversary season at London Fashion Week with Ones To Watch: Edition 02 on Saturday 19 September 2026 at Protein Studios. The 9pm showcase brought together eight emerging designers working across Ukrainian craft, Chinese ink painting, Indian textile heritage, Nigerian Aso-oke and Adire, Japanese making, third-culture identity and circular British tailoring.

Edition 02 formed part of Fashion Scout’s largest emerging-talent programme to date, with three Ones To Watch catwalks scheduled across the anniversary season. For two decades, the initiative has supported designers at formative stages of their careers, offering a London Fashion Week platform alongside industry visibility and professional access.

The 2026 Edition 02 line-up featured ACIDSIIIA, GaMi Lew, Label Astha Garg, Sanjana Ghosh, Serina Lee, Shuwen Song / SONG SONG, Styled by ZK and Tyler Von Greenston.

“Fashion Scout will always hold a very special place in Orange Culture’s journey. Being selected as one of the winners of their Ones To Watch programme gave us the opportunity to present our first show in the UK and Europe, at a pivotal moment for the brand,” said Adebayo Oke-Lawal of Orange Culture.

Heritage becomes a starting point for new design

Kyiv-born designer Anastasiia Pozhydaeva founded ACIDSIIIA around a combination of traditional techniques and contemporary construction. Sculptural proportions and tactile surfaces define the practice, while limited-series pieces are handcrafted from high-quality deadstock materials with Ukrainian artisans.

Tokyo-based GaMi Lew takes a more fluid approach. Each piece begins with one of the label’s signature silhouettes, but variations in draping mean that no two outcomes are identical. The process places individuality and hand-making at the centre of the brand’s visual language.

Indian-born designer Astha Garg draws on a family history connected to garments while focusing on material experimentation and sensory experience. Label Astha Garg considers human emotion, perception and the relationship between the body and the senses as part of its contemporary approach to textile-led fashion.

Sanjana Ghosh, meanwhile, brings a third-culture perspective to conceptual luxury womenswear. Having grown up across five countries, she uses material innovation and subtle disruption to develop garments as storytelling devices intended to move beyond a single cultural reference point.

Painting, emotion and African textile traditions

Serina Lee works between Singapore and London and combines Chinese ink painting with artisanal craft and technological experimentation. After studying Chinese painting from the age of seven, Lee began translating principles from the medium into fashion, building a design language shaped by silhouette, material and visual expression.

Shuwen Song takes intimacy and emotional instability as the starting point for SONG SONG. Across six looks, wrapped ribbons, red cords, tulle and exposed skin become visual symbols of attachment and vulnerability. Black, red, white and silver create a controlled palette, while references to collapse and destruction introduce tension into otherwise delicate forms.

Founded in Lagos by Zainab Kolawole, Styled by ZK reworks Nigerian Aso-oke and Adire fabrics for contemporary womenswear. Traditionally associated with special occasions, the textiles are adapted into more versatile garments that connect cultural heritage with modern styling. Kolawole received the 2025 Rising Star Award from the African Fashion & Arts Awards.

Tyler Von Greenston approaches heritage through another question: how can British tailoring respond to material waste? Offcuts are reconsidered and returned to the garment rather than automatically discarded, allowing limitation itself to become part of the design process. The approach links traditional craftsmanship with circular thinking and asks how contemporary luxury can place greater value on existing material.

Fashion Scout marks two decades of talent discovery

The wider Fashion Scout alumni network includes designers such as Iris van Herpen, David Koma and Phoebe English, while previous Ones To Watch participants include Eudon Choi, Susan Fang, Maximilian Raynor and Orange Culture.

For Edition 02, Fashion Scout handled production, with Paul Swaby overseeing show production and Rebekah Roy responsible for styling. Sally Beauty and UNITE Hair supported hair, led by Narad Kutowaroo, while AOFM Makeup Academy provided make-up under Mandy Gakhal. Propress supplied steamers and People Pleaser Salads provided backstage food.

Presented at Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard, London, Edition 02 placed eight distinct practices within a shared conversation about how heritage can be reworked rather than simply reproduced. Across the showcase, traditional craft, personal history and cultural identity became starting points for new approaches to tailoring, textiles and contemporary womenswear.
