Topshop and Topman launch AW26 denim at London Fashion Week opening party

Topshop and Topman marked the opening of London Fashion Week on 19 September 2026 with a London celebration for their Autumn/Winter 2026 denim collection and new campaign, Denim, Defined By You. The evening brought together figures from fashion, music and culture, beginning with a private Uber Boat by Thames Clippers journey along the River Thames before guests arrived at Woods Quay for the official opening party.

The event introduced Topshop and Topman’s latest denim direction, which draws on the confidence and styling of the 1980s and 1990s. Alongside established fits, the AW26 collection expands denim into jackets, coordinated sets, tailored separates and statement outerwear.

Topshop revisits signature denim shapes

Topshop’s new-season denim line places several fits at the centre of the collection.

The Vintage Straight returns with a worn-in finish, while the Dillan Baggy offers a looser silhouette. The brand also highlights The 90s Bootcut as one of the season’s key shapes.

Beyond jeans, the collection extends into oversized jackets, double-denim combinations and tailored pieces designed to work across different styling approaches.

Topman also focuses on updated proportions. The Rigid Barrel sits alongside new-season Rigid Baggy and Rigid Straight fits, keeping denim central to the menswear offering.

The AW26 launch also marks the return of Tall and Petite sizing to Topshop. Core styles are available across multiple leg lengths and extended waist options, widening the range of fits available within the collection.

London’s fashion and music crowd joins the launch

Friends of the brand wore pieces from the new collection throughout the evening. Guests included Poppy Delevingne, Kim Turnbull, Stella Jones, Chloe Qisha and Saffron Vadher, alongside campaign stars Devi Rae and Naima Quinn.

Event imagery also featured Grace Carter, Danny Lomas, Zeze Millz and Boris Becker.

Music formed another part of the night, with DJ Fat Tony and Jada-Kai performing as the celebration continued beside the Thames.

The event placed denim within a wider London Fashion Week setting, connecting the campaign with the city’s fashion, music and nightlife communities rather than presenting the collection through a conventional runway format.

‘Denim, Defined By You’

The campaign centres on individuality and the way denim changes through personal wear and styling.

“Denim has always been at the heart of Topshop and Topman. After months of fit refinement and wash innovation, it’s an exciting moment to unveil the next generation of denim. Our ‘Denim, Defined By You’ campaign is an homage to the unique character of denim – a fabric that is shaped by you. From our heritage-inspired silhouettes to more modern shapes, this collection is designed to give everyone the freedom to find the denim that feels right for them and wear it their own way,” said Janey Macleod, Head of Topshop.

Topshop was founded in 1964 and has maintained a longstanding connection with London fashion and youth culture. The brand describes creative collaboration and support for emerging talent across music, design, illustration, writing and photography as part of its wider identity.

For AW26, that approach is channelled through a denim collection that combines familiar Topshop references with new fits, expanded sizing and a broader wardrobe beyond jeans.
