Rocky Star Couture unveils A/W 2026/27 collection at London Fashion Week

Rocky Star Couture has returned to London Fashion Week with its Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collection, presenting a darker interpretation of old-world glamour through sculpted silhouettes, elaborate embroidery and richly embellished eveningwear.

The collection draws on decaying palaces, antique mirrors and shadowed interiors. Rather than recreating historical opulence directly, the house translates those references into a sharper contemporary couture language.

Faded grandeur shapes the new collection

Hand-embroidered corsets form a key part of the A/W 2026/27 wardrobe. Rocky Star pairs them with sculpted shapes, fluid skirts and elongated gowns, creating contrast between defined structure and movement.

Surface detail plays an equally important role. Crystals, sequins, pearls, metallic beadwork and delicate feathers appear across the collection, giving individual looks a highly worked finish. However, lighter fabrics and fluid construction prevent the embellishment from becoming visually heavy.

The colour palette reinforces the idea of faded grandeur. Gunmetal, antique silver, champagne, muted gold and deep charcoal run throughout the collection. These restrained metallic shades create a sense of age and patina rather than polished brightness.

Sheer fabrics then introduce transparency into the heavier couture surfaces. Draping adds movement, while softer layers offset the more architectural silhouettes.

The result is a collection built around contrast: darkness and sensuality, decoration and ease, structure and fluidity.

Couture techniques meet contemporary glamour

Rocky Star Couture uses traditional couture techniques throughout the collection, but the styling remains focused on modern occasion dressing. Corsetry and hand embellishment sit alongside long, fluid proportions and sheer elements designed to move with the body.

This balance allows the collection to retain the drama associated with the label without relying solely on volume or ornamentation. Instead, the details work together to create a more controlled sense of theatricality.

Rocky Star Couture was established in 1995. The couture house has built its identity around dramatic silhouettes, detailed craftsmanship and heavily embellished designs for womenswear and menswear.

Its A/W 2026/27 London Fashion Week presentation continues that approach while placing greater emphasis on shadow, transparency and the visual language of faded luxury.

The show forms part of a programme produced by Fashion Week and the City (FWTC), an international platform that stages designer showcases in London, New York and Paris.

According to FWTC, the company has produced shows for more than 300 designers, worked with over 100 industry partners and generated more than 200 media features across its programmes.

With A/W 2026/27, Rocky Star Couture brings its established couture vocabulary into a more atmospheric setting. Detailed handwork, muted metallics and elongated silhouettes turn references to old interiors and forgotten grandeur into a collection designed for the contemporary runway.
