ELENA MOROZOVA: FASHION AS ART — AND A PATH TO GLOBAL RECOGNITION
To inspire. To guide. To open doors. These three actions perfectly reflect the journey of Elena Morozova in the world of fashion. Born in Ukraine, her name now resonates in Paris, Brussels, London, and beyond. Her projects have become launching pads for emerging talent, her academy — a home for creatives. And her energy? A driving force for real change in the fashion industry.
From Kyiv to Paris — Through Art
Elena began her professional journey at the National University of Technologies and Design in Kyiv, then continued her education at the legendary Studio Berçot in Paris. It was there she immersed herself not just in the craft of fashion, but in its philosophy, aesthetics, and cultural roots.
Later, at the University of Paris 8, she earned her master’s degree in contemporary art, new media, and design. Her thesis explored the deep and inseparable dialogue between fashion and art — a theme that would go on to define her entire career.
Practice, Education, and the Voice of a Generation
Elena’s experience includes work as a stylist’s assistant at a haute couture house, teaching drawing and visual arts, and becoming a finalist in the international Unitex Lyon competition — where her work stood out for its ability to communicate ideas through fabric and form.
In 2017, under the auspices of UNESCO, she launched the project Art and Climate in the 21st Century — a powerful exhibition that addressed climate responsibility through the work of young artists. It was a statement: fashion is not just about beauty; it’s about responsibility. It was also a new kind of conversation — one that united aesthetics and ethics.
Fashion Academy Paris — Shaping the Future
In 2013, Elena founded Fashion Academy Paris — an educational space where Parisian tradition meets innovation, and where creativity is nurtured on a personal level. The academy offers comprehensive programs in fashion design, illustration, textiles, and brand management, with a focus on helping each student develop their unique creative voice.
Here, students aren’t taught to copy — they’re taught to think. They create collections driven by concepts, emotions, and cultural context. It’s no surprise that graduates of the academy regularly take part in top-tier competitions and attract attention from established fashion houses.
In 2024, Elena published a book on fashion illustration — a hands-on guide that quickly became a go-to resource for aspiring designers. In 2025, the book was released in Spanish, further cementing the international reach of her educational project.
A recent highlight: in 2023, a graduate of the academy won the emerging designer competition at Brussels Fashion Week — a proud moment not just for the student, but for the entire academy.
London Fashion Day: A New Chapter
This year, Fashion Academy Paris takes another bold step forward as its students debut their collections on the runway of London Fashion Day. This isn’t just another showcase — it’s their introduction to the UK fashion scene, on a stage shared with established names.
The collaboration with London Fashion Day aligns seamlessly with the academy’s philosophy: empower young creatives, break down borders, and turn fashion into a truly global language. The message is clear — talent, when nurtured with care and vision, speaks in a voice that transcends geography.
Elena Morozova: Building the Fashion of Tomorrow
Today, Elena Morozova is far more than a designer, educator, or curator. She is a guiding force for the next generation of fashion creatives — someone who sees potential and knows how to turn it into impact. She’s not afraid to engage with difficult themes, and she believes that fashion must respond to the times we live in.
With her clarity, sensitivity, and belief in individuality, fashion becomes more than clothing. It becomes a space for thought, a platform for voices, and a tool to shape the world.
