India’s premier creative institution, Pearl Academy, successfully presented remarkable fashion collections at the prestigious London Fashion Week (LFW) AW25. The event, which took place at 7 pm on Saturday, February 22nd, highlighted an expanded partnership dedicated to giving emerging designers a global platform.

Ahead of the event, Pearl Academy provided extensive mentorship to participating designers, covering essential aspects like design innovation, technical expertise, and styling, ensuring each collection was runway-ready. This initiative underscores Pearl Academy’s dedication to nurturing rising talent and providing comprehensive guidance.

Featured designers for the AW25 season included Shivika Agarwal, Payal Dawar, Hermnn Singh, Shivangi Sharma, and the duo Khushi Agrawal & Satyam Saini.

Shivika Agarwal

Shivika Agarwal, who launched her brand in 2024, presented a collection inspired by the Toda Embroidery of Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu. Known locally as ‘pukhoor,’ this craft is traditionally practiced by women of the Toda tribe, featuring distinctive geometric patterns primarily in black and red. Agarwal’s luxury resort wear collection modernizes these traditions with sophisticated, nomadic aesthetics.

Payal Dawar

Payal Dawar is renowned for combining traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary design. Specializing in high-quality women’s occasion wear, the brand is available online and in exclusive boutiques such as Surat, Baarassi, and Nykaa Luxe. Payal Dawar’s collections emphasize elegance, craftsmanship, and timely delivery.

Hermnn Singh

Hermnn Singh – “Symphony of Art” Hermnn Singh paid homage to artistic legends like Salvador Dalí, Frida Kahlo, Picasso, and Beethoven with his “Symphony of Art” collection. Featuring surrealism, cubism, and Indian craftsmanship through traditional woven handlooms, Hermnn integrated intricate Zardozi and Ari embroidery into the garments, celebrating India’s couture heritage.

Ryfin

Ryfin by Khushi Agrawal and Satyam Saini Ryfin showcased premium Indian streetwear, blending traditional elements with contemporary fashion trends. The collection stood out with bold silhouettes, intricate detailing, and broad international appeal, offering expressive wearable art to the culturally confident and fashion-forward audience.
