Après Youth builds a jewellery world where colour, craft and self-expression meet

London-based demi-fine jewellery label Après Youth presents a brand universe that feels both playful and emotionally precise — one where jewellery is not treated as a finishing touch, but as a daily language of individuality. The lookbook frames the brand around a simple but striking philosophy: style is not a trend, but “the glow from life lived with conviction,” with pieces designed to celebrate everyday life and every person exactly as they are.

Founded by designer Emily Brown, Après Youth draws on more than a decade of experience across fashion and high-end jewellery. The brand’s collections are designed in London and responsibly made by master craftsmen in Jaipur, India, with production partners who are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council. That balance between London creativity and long-established jewellery craftsmanship gives the label its distinct identity — expressive on the surface, carefully built underneath.

The brand book centres two key collections. Fireworks, launched in 2023, captures the joy of movement and colour through spinning Catherine Wheels in neon enamel, hexagonal rubies, and a bespoke firework chain that extends across necklaces, hoops, and bracelets. The mood is celebratory and bold, with pieces that feel energetic rather than delicate, bringing a vivid sense of personality to the jewellery category.

The newer collection, Don’t Hate Me, I Am You, shifts into a more sculptural and conceptual register. Made in 100% recycled sterling silver, it features chunky heart forms made from ears, moving googly eyes, and unisex square signet rings with semi-precious stones. The collection is positioned around radical self-love, stepping into personal power, and embracing individuality without apology. In tone and form, it feels like the emotional core of the brand.

The product edits reinforce that duality between exuberance and intimacy. In the necklace line-up, the Rocket Enamel Necklace sits alongside the Catherine Spinning Necklace, the Introvert Black Diamond Necklace, and A Good Listener Necklace Medium. The ring edit combines the bright Spark Ring Orange with the more ornate Firework Heart Ring, the Introvert Signet Ring Lapis, and the surreal Friend Ring. Earrings and bracelets continue the same balance, moving from bright enamel fireworks to recycled silver pieces with a quieter emotional charge. Prices in the lookbook range from £65 to £490, allowing the brand to hold onto an accessible edge while still offering more statement-led hero pieces.

What makes Après Youth compelling is that it never feels trapped between “serious” jewellery and playful styling. It allows both to exist at once. The result is a label that understands modern adornment not as decoration alone, but as mood, memory, wit, and self-recognition — jewellery that feels alive because it is made for people who want to be seen as themselves.
