APUJAN to Debut “Stars Just Look On Forever” Collection at London Fashion Week
APUJAN is set to unveil its latest collection, “Stars Just Look On Forever,” at London Fashion Week on February 20th. Known for its dual approach of physical runway shows and digital fashion films, APUJAN continues to innovate in presenting its collections.
This new collection, directed by the designer, will be showcased through a film featuring models from Catwalk agency and actresses Ula Shen and Chih Ling Huang. Inspired by the classic tale of Peter Pan, the collection explores the fleeting encounter between the eternally young Peter and Wendy, who must face the reality of growing up.
APUJAN’s signature themes of time, imagination, and literary allusions are woven throughout the collection. Elements such as pirate ships, green cloaks, fairies, crocodiles, and ticking clocks pay homage to Peter Pan’s story. The film’s “Neverland” is depicted with remnants of pirates and nautical elements, creating a whimsical backdrop for the garments.
The collection includes chiffon printed dresses, brushed knit dresses, knitted coats, minimalist vests, patchwork lapel coats, and printed qipaos. APUJAN’s signature puzzle knit intarsia, wool scarves, measure tape hats, pajamas, and various accessories are also featured. The finale takes viewers into APUJAN’s clothing studio in Taipei, led by Wendy, now a fashion designer, explaining her journey to Wonderland and its influence on the creations.
Produced by Rachel Chen from Touch of Light Films Ltd., with cinematography by Golden Bell Award winner Kao Tzu-Hao, and music by independent producer dj so lonely, the film brings together creative teams from Taiwan. This sets the stage for APUJAN’s 2024 international collaborations following its return to London Fashion Week and the opening of its concept store in Taipei.
