SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD 2026 to open new season in Odesa on 8–9 August

SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD will open its 2026 season in Odesa on 8 and 9 August, bringing together Ukrainian designers, fashion brands, manufacturers, educators, media and industry professionals.

The two-day programme will take place at MarAmax Academy and the Odesa Botanical Garden of I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University. It will feature presentations, runway shows of summer and cruise collections, and meetings for members of Ukraine’s fashion industry.

The organisers position SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD as a separate annual cruise and summer fashion project. Launched in 2014, it has developed into a platform for emerging designers, established Ukrainian labels and manufacturers of clothing, footwear and accessories.

“SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD was born in 2014. We conceived it as a separate cruise project and summer fashion event that could become a calling card for Odesa. Its main aim is to draw attention to Ukrainian designers and national brands,” said Kostiantyn Lieontiev, founder of Odessa Fashion Day, the organisation from which the project originated.

The project connects fashion with Odesa’s architecture, culture and summer atmosphere. It also creates opportunities for collaboration between designers, businesses, educational institutions and international partners.

DeClassic to lead the opening programme

The first day of SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD will take place at MarAmax Academy on 8 August. It will centre on a presentation by Ukrainian designer brand DeClassic.

Working between classic tailoring and contemporary conceptual fashion, DeClassic creates womenswear focused on design, construction and individuality. Designer Anastasiia Mykytyn uses deconstructed tailoring to reconsider traditional forms and the conventions associated with the classic suit.

The brand’s approach combines formal elegance with modern shapes. Its collections address women who want clothing to express strength and confidence without requiring them to follow established rules.

DJ esvyato, also known as Maryna Shtelmashuk, will provide the evening’s music.

Ukrainian designers at the Odesa Botanical Garden

On 9 August, SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD will move to the Odesa Botanical Garden for a programme of summer and cruise collection shows.

The announced line-up includes PANACEA, LUMÉA, Yankovska Helen & lady forever, Soul Swim, Nimble Scissors and KEOSMY by yesundress.

Students from the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design will also present their collections. The partnership will give young designers an opportunity to introduce their work alongside independent Ukrainian brands and represent a new generation entering the country’s fashion industry.

Producer Oleh Shkilniuk said that holding the programme in the Botanical Garden would help place fashion within Odesa’s wider cultural landscape. The setting also reflects the project’s aim of connecting contemporary design with education, culture and the urban environment.

SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD continues at a difficult time for Ukraine’s creative industries. Its 2026 season will provide designers with a public platform while supporting the visibility of Ukrainian fashion among audiences, media and industry professionals.
