On February 22, 2025, in London, YUHAN AO hosted its AW25 event, “The Untold Tales,” celebrating the hidden stories of forgotten creatives. This unforgettable fashion show paid homage to diverse talents—from dancers and architects to fashion PR professionals and editors—using a unique blend of vintage Parisian style and modern design.

The concept for “The Untold Tales” came from the founder’s visit to Place du Tertre in Montmartre. While looking for a family gift, he engaged with local artists and discovered their untold stories. Deeply moved by these encounters, he transformed these raw experiences into a collection that honors creatives whose contributions often go unnoticed.

A Unique Collection of Characters
The event showcased a series of striking looks, each with its own narrative:

• Rugged Artisan: A muse in a deconstructed cotton trench coat, revealing details of aged fabric and metal.
• Les Insoumis: A reversible tailored suit crafted from organza and wool, paired with a unique hat made from shirt collars.
• Tailored Muse: A suit with detached sleeves that exposed the inner architecture of tailoring.
• The Broken Uniform: A military-inspired suit, unraveled to create a new, dynamic silhouette.
• Faded Worker: A weathered workwear ensemble highlighted by subtle, flickering details.
• Drunkard: A disoriented figure in a cropped trench with fragmented accessories.
• Decadent Dandy & Chic Newsboy: A dramatic encounter between contrasting styles that marked a turning point in the show.
• The Suave Outlaw: A voluminous suit with split lapels that revealed the garment’s intricate history.
• Unraveled Ragman: A sharply tailored suit made from repurposed fabrics, capturing every stitch’s story.
• The Weeping Mourner: A fitted black suit with raw-edge lapels, reflecting quiet sorrow.
• Queen: A commanding figure in a gown with layered, reworked organza and a sculptural linen wig.
• The Soul: A deconstructed shirt paired with a monumental paper-folded hat, symbolizing mystery.
• Lovers: A sheer organza gown mixed with tailored suit panels, narrating a story of passion and complexity.
• Feminine Noir: A blend of reclaimed leather and cascading organza, creating a silhouette that moves with light and shadow.

Rooted in the founder’s cherished memories of his mother and his family’s background in Hong Kong linen production, YUHAN AO’s philosophy embraces the art of deconstruction and reconstruction. Innovative tailoring techniques turned fleeting emotions into a distinctive design language that resonated with audiences at the event.
