Artist-Designer Ginny Litscher Turns Signature Paintings into Luxury Silk Scarves

Swiss-born, London-based artist and designer Ginny Litscher has unveiled a new silk-scarf collection that translates her large-scale, meticulously detailed canvases into wearable works of art. A graduate of Central Saint Martins (2009), Litscher honed her drawing skills at Zara Home, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Diane von Fürstenberg before launching her own print studio in 2011.

Each painting can take months—sometimes years—to complete; once finished, the original is digitally transformed into a textile by the artist herself and printed on 100 percent silk in Italy, Switzerland or London, depending on the destination market. The lightweight fabrication keeps the scarves cool for summer styling yet warm enough for winter layering, in line with the brand’s sustainability ethos.

Litscher’s dedication to craft earned her a nomination for the Swiss Design Prize for her intricate hand-fringing technique. Her storytelling prints have since expanded beyond fashion, appearing as wallpapers, murals and full interior concepts for global restaurants, hotels and private clients.

Fresh from a Spring/Summer 2025 presentation during London Fashion Week and a Vogue Salon showcase, the designer hosted an intimate press lunch at The Decimo, King’s Cross, bringing together industry insiders to celebrate the collection. Celebrity admirers already include Lady Gaga, Keira Knightley, Florence Welch and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, while publications such as Vogue and the Financial Times have spotlighted her evolving crossover between fine art and luxury design.

With her latest release, Ginny Litscher cements her position at the intersection of fashion and artistry, offering collectors a timeless accessory infused with modern storytelling and traditional craftsmanship.
