Omar Mansoor Debuts the “Meluhas” SS25 Collection in Dubai, Championing Artisan Heritage
Continuing his long-standing collaboration with the Kaarvan Crafts Foundation, Omar Mansoor remains committed to empowering local craftspeople and spotlighting age-old artistry on a global platform.
Last night at the Amwaj Rotana Hotel in Dubai, Mansoor’s highly anticipated “Meluhas” Spring/Summer 2025 collection took center stage. This much-celebrated event—organized by JG Events—marked the final stop of a worldwide tour that previously showcased in London, Paris, and Uzbekistan. A diverse gathering of fashion connoisseurs and industry experts attended, all eager to witness a masterful fusion of time-honored techniques with modern aesthetics.
Drawing inspiration from the ancient Indus Valley civilization, “Meluhas” pays homage to the refined details of miniature pottery and the warm, natural hues of earthen tones. In partnership with the Kaarvan Crafts Foundation, this collection highlights the storied tradition of hand-embroidery, featuring motifs influenced by Middle Bronze Age decorative arts. A tranquil palette—ranging from clay and terracotta to ochre—embodies understated poise and effortless sophistication, reflected in an array of silhouettes from flowing gowns to tailored separates.
Every garment in “Meluhas” is brought to life by rural artisans whose craftsmanship embodies enduring luxury while preserving cultural legacy. The resulting pieces harmonize heritage and contemporary cuts for an aesthetic that exudes both refinement and an inherent connection to the past.
Guests in Dubai were treated to a captivating runway presentation set against the city’s iconic skyline, where Mansoor’s artful synthesis of historical influence and present-day design shone through.
